Brief Introduction: Lijiang – An amazingly prosperous ancient town, with lots of quaint surrounding villages full of adventure .When you arrive in Yuhu village, at the foot of Jade dragon Snow Mountain, you will reach the former residence of Joseph Rock the American scholar and Botanist, you can then begin to understand why he said:

“I prefer dying amidst the flowers at the foot of Jade dragon mountain than dying on a Hospital bed.” Trekking through Tiger Leaping Gorge between Haba and Jade dragon Snow Mountain, where the old legends claim a tiger leaped over the chasm across the river there, you can feel the immense power of the mountain and the fast flowing river below.  

Wenhai is located on the southern slope of Yulong (Jade Dragon) snow mountain and it is a part of the Lashihai provincial level Alpine Wetlands Nature Reserve.There are also unique wild flowers that bloom all four seasons. Including over twenty species of rhododendrons. Wenhai is also home to a variety of economically viable mushrooms and precious medicinal herbs. 

Lugu Lake houses the Mosuo ethnic and the last practicing matriarchal society in the world; it is also one of the most beautiful lakes worldwide. it is quiet and serene, just like a fairytale, the local people worship the local Zhamei Temple, and the Matriarchal saint mountain: Gemu, which is named after the Local god, the legend goes that as she cried for her lover, the tears flowed all the way down to become Lugu lake, afterwards famously becoming a dating center for lovers. 

Day 1.

Departure from Kunming to Dali

stroll around Dali ancient town, spent one night in Dali hotel (B.L.D.)

Day 2 Dali

Departure: 9am in the morning, listen to legend about the Avaskavaya temple, and start the trek start from Gantong temple, adventure hiking through the valley, taking 4-5 hours, passing the waterfall and seven super ladies pool. Have a simple lunch in a tea house, and back Dali town (B.L.D.).

Day 3 Dali

Take a ferry or bus to Shuanglang village, Rock climbing in Shuanglang lakeside hills

Day 4  Lijiang,rest

Arrive in Lijiang and spend the night in Lijiang Shuhe Old Town.Romatic bed.

Day 5 Trek to Jade dragon snow mountain

Pilgrimage from Shuhe-baisha-Yuhu village, trekking to Jade dragon snow mountain base camps,spent one night in Shuhe ancient town. (B.L.D.).

Day 6 Tiger leaping gorge hike

from Qiaotou where we start our 6 hrs trek to the simple Tea Horse guesthouse, which is situated on the slope of the mountain at 2.400 m. Here we'll spend the night. The amazing view from this guesthouse includes the majestic snow-capped peaks of JadeDragon Snow Mountain. (Hot shower available)

Day 7 Continue through the Tiger Leaping Gorge, for about 5 hrs until we reach Tina's Guesthouse (situated at the bank of the river on 1.800m). It's really impossible to describe the spectacular scenery. It is so beautiful that you want to scream. We'll have a picnic lunch on the way and in the afternoon we'll arrive at our comfortable guesthouse.(Hot shower available).

Day 8 Take private car to Lugu Lake, arrive Lige island, spend one night in the local Mosuo lake view honeymoon room hotel. (B.L.D.)

Day 9 Trek around Lugu lake, enjoy the beautiful and tranquil village, and listen to the legendary story of the Gemu god lady, spend one night in local Mosuo lake view honeymoon room guesthouse or home stay(B.L.D.)

Day 10 Back to Lijiang. Stay one night in Lijiang old town (B.L.D)

Day 11 Morning catches flight back to Kunming.
