Explore the Dali shuanglang Lakeview local village, and rock landscape there, learn Buddhism philosophy in JizuMountain, visit ancient temples there, finish with 2 days of trek in JizuMountain.

Between the Cangshan Mountains and ErHai Lake (Literally!), Dali offers almost limitless possibilities for mountain climbing, trekking, and other outdoor activities. Rather than offer generic "tours," which are boring for both our guides and the participants. You can spend the time as you wish, whether kayaking on Erhai Lake, cycling along the lake-side roadway, exploring nearby villages, practicing yoga, or simply curling up in a lounge chair on the dock and daydreaming. Also cycle from Dali Old Town directly to Shuanglang.Plan on waking early the next morning, and gorge on fresh cow's milk, red bean pastries, rice congee, egg/vegetable pancakes, and even coffee. After breakfast, we will hike up to the nearby cliffs, and rock climb to your heart's content, belayed by ClimbDali guides………………

Jizu mountain is the Buddha Gaye, who gains enlightenment from, after yoga, we will do pilgrim trekking towards. Jizu’s charm lies in its colorful play of contrasts. Awaken the senses and feel the warmth of this exotic land and its people.  From vibrant feel your spirit comes alive. The hike winds past villages and a high meadow filled with grazing cows, before moving through a 3,500 meter mountain pass and down into an old-growth forest. We will arrive late that evening (or early the next morning if we decide to break the hike into two days). The third day, we will rise at dawn to watch a beautiful sunrise and spend some time exploring the temple complex before taking a bus back to Dali.

Itinerary

Day 1. Kunming to Dali, rest one night in Dali hotel.

Day 2. Cang mountain hike in Dali old town.

Departure: 9 am in the morning, listen to legend about the Avaskavaya temple, and start the trek from Gantong temple, Have a vegetarian lunch in the temple, adventure hiking through the valley, taking 4-5 hours, passing the waterfall and seven super ladies pool back Dali old town to your hotel.

Day 3 Cycle to Shuanglang village

.Pick up from your hostel, Bike to Butterfly spring, kayak to Shuanglang village/ or cycle from Dali old town to Shuanglang, or you can even choose arrive shuanglang by bus, then whether kayaking on Erhai Lake, cycling along the lake-side roadway, exploring nearby villages,and spent one night in a Lake View guesthouse. We will eat a traditional Bai meal consisting of whatever is seasonal, such as "Frog-skin" (actually tree moss), fried goat cheese, fresh fish, and a wife variety of fresh vegetables.

Day 4 Rock climbing in Shuanglang.

Up on arriving at Shuanglang - a traditional Bai minority village on the other side of Erhai Lake - we will hike 300m up a hill, past fruit trees and cacti, to a series of cascading cliffs. After a brief overview of safety and the basics of climbing, we will set up top-rope climbing systems for routes of varying difficulty. Start with the easiest one, and climb until you can't feel your arms! 

Day 5.Trek from Shuanglang to jizuMountain 8 hours, spent one night in temple and meditation.

On the second day, we will wake at dawn and embark on a grueling hike to JiZu Shan (Chicken Foot Mountain), a holy Daoist mountain that is now a popular destination for locals and pilgrims. Depending on our pace, the hike requires around 8-10 hours, and features unbelievable views of ErHai Lake, CangShan, and JiZu Mountain from afar. 

Day 6 trekking on the mountain, go to the top of the mountain,visit Goden top temple, and the legend of Monk Zhang shanfeng.Visit Xitang temple and its legend, and Huashou Temple, meditation . visit Zhushen temple the pilgrims' Capital and Mahakasyapa Hall, do Hatha yoga and meditation on the Buddhism stone,stay one night in the Temple’s guesthouse.

Day 7 then back Dali,leave for Kunming.

Adam (USA):take care of Dali Adventure program,is the founder and manager of Climb Dali. He has five years of rock climbing experience, is certified by the Professional Association of Climbing Instructors (PACI), and has completed a SOLO wilderness first aid course. Before coming to Dali, Adam lived for a year in Yangshuo - China's very own climbing paradise. In founding Climb Dali, Adam's goal has always been to turn Dali into a top climbing destination in China, and to create a positive atmosphere for climbers and travelers.
